Internships are overrated. Whoever invented internships is just too cheapskate to hire a new staff and thus resort to cheap student labour and use the excuse of a "learning experience" to cheat them of their money.

I really don't buy this whole learning experience thing. So you're saying that a new staff, regardless of whether s/he is a fresh grad or not, knows everything? Or maybe you go by the argument that your new staff is not going to leave you 2 months later. Well, if you treat your intern nicely like a normal human being with a job, then probably your intern wants to come back! And it's a smaller risk than hiring someone new because you're stuck with your new hire, but you get more time to think about rehiring that intern.

Probably I'm making it sound as if I'm being ill treated, but really I'm not. It's nice and everything, but I just feel frustrated that I'm stuck here because the opportunity cost is so high! I'm getting paid an average of $4 an hour! How pathetic is that? And that's considered a high pay. Even a lousy waitress job is going to pay me at least a dollar more per hour and I get to quit any time I want. This, is honestly just a waste of my time because I don't believe that whatever I learn now, I can't just do the same later.

I'm so glad that there's only a week left otherwise I might really consider killing myself.

Initially I didn't want to go for Play because it was too expensive and I had no money. Apparently it was bad enough and I'm glad that I caught Pluck's performance last weekend instead!

I don't think musicians are known for their sense of humour, and now that I think about it, most of the performance's gimmicks were pretty slapstick, but they just pulled it off so well, it was so hilarious! All the pieces they performed were music that everyone's familiar with but my favourite is definitely their rendition of 1812. It even comes with live cannons!

Although I think it contributed to my mediocre results at the indoor the next day, but it was worth it.

I have aboslutely nothing to do, which is actually alright with me, but I am totally suffering because I am so incredibly tired AND have nothing to do! =/ I wish I can just go home and sleep; literally just dying at my desk.

I really can't wait for my attachment to be over! Working life is not for me. I think I'll die when I actually graduate and start working full time. =/

Tonight I'm going home to catch up on sleep. Wednesday onwards maybe I'll finally start attempting to use my track shoes which I brought home at the beginning of my attachment but have only been collecting dust in the cupboard so far.

Somehow I feel quite free this week. I wonder if it's because competition is over or because someone is not around. Hahaha probably a bit of both.

I feel much more awake now after lunch! But I'm still hungry. =/ Think I've been eating more and more nowadays. Ate so much junk over the weekend with competition as excuse. I think my diet is really terrible recently. I keep eating when I'm not hungry and not eating when I'm hungry. =/ But somehow that's actually the result of trying to eat at a semi-proper time. Bah.
